Support Services for Families
Raising a twice-exceptional (2e) or multi-exceptional (Mx) child is a profoundly unique journey, and it is often an exhausting one.
2e/Mx describe children who navigate the world with high-level cognitive strengths alongside one or more learning or behavioral differences. It’s the “and” that defines them. But that same “and” is usually what leaves you, the caregiver, feeling burned out, overwhelmed, and constantly fighting to get your child’s needs met at school and at home.
You don’t need another generic parenting book, and you don’t need a rigid, one-size-fits-all coaching program. You need a responsive partner in your corner who understands the complexities of neurodiversity and the daily reality of your family’s bandwidth.
Whether you’re looking for a quick reset, a strategy for a specific hurdle, or ongoing collaborative advocacy, I offer tiered support to meet you exactly where you are.
Step 1: 15-Minute Call
Let’s find your starting line. When you are running on empty, taking the first step to find help can feel overwhelming. This brief, no-pressure phone call or Zoom chat is simply a chance for us to connect. We will discuss your child’s unique “and,” assess your current bandwidth, and determine which level of support makes the most sense for your family right now.
Step 2: Strategy Support
Actionable guidance for your most pressing fire. Sometimes, you just need an expert in your corner to help you untangle a specific, immediate challenge. This stand-alone, 90-minute deep dive is designed to map your child’s specific Mx profile and build an actionable strategy you can implement right away.
- Best for: Prepping for a complex IEP/504/EP meeting, navigating school refusal, establishing emotional regulation strategies at home, or overcoming parental burnout.
- What you get: A 90-minute virtual session, a customized action plan, and one week of follow-up email support.
Step 3: The Concierge Retainer
Phase 1: Strategy Support – The Foundation Intensive We begin with a 90-to-120-minute deep dive. During this session, we map your child’s specific Mx profile, looking at how their cognitive strengths interact with their differences. We untangle immediate challenges, identify your family’s current reality, and establish a baseline for moving forward.
Phase 2: The Concierge Retainer Following the intensive, you step into ongoing, flexible support designed to fit seamlessly into a busy life.
- Structured Check-Ins: Two 60-minute virtual sessions per month. Every session starts with a simple bandwidth check-in. If you are drowning in exhaustion, we focus on resetting and finding optimism. If you have a hostile IEP meeting tomorrow, we pivot to advocacy strategy and empowerment.
- On-the-Fly Support: Life with an Mx child doesn’t wait for a scheduled Zoom call. You will have priority, asynchronous access to me (via text/audio message) during business hours for real-time troubleshooting, venting, or immediate guidance when a meltdown happens or an urgent school email arrives.
Who this is for: This is for caregivers who are tired of being the sole project manager of their child’s neurodiversity and/or giftedness. If you want an expert to help you navigate the school system, translate your child’s needs into actionable strategies, and help you reclaim some peace in your household, we are a perfect fit.
Because of the highly personalized, on-the-fly nature of this support, I only take on a select number of families at a time.
